Fred Thompson's Sister Souljah Moment?

Yesterday, on Fox News Sunday, Fred Thompson joined the likes of Bill Clinton in attacking Fox News ... and Chris Wallace. 

This is not the first time Thompson has refused to turn the other cheek when perceived "friends" criticized him.  After Dr.

James Dobson criticized Thompson in an email, saying Thompson wasn't a Christian, Thompson dismissed the powerful Christian broadcaster, saying he wasn't going to, "dance to anybody's tune."

It is truly a "man bites dog" story for a Republican candidate to take on Fox.  It also appears that Thompson wasn't pushed into this dispute, but that he was prepared to go after Fox.  By refusing to pander to his supposed base, one wonders if Thompson isn't trying to have his own "Sister Souljah Moment" ...
