THers Quoted

Hugh, Dean, and I are all quoted in Jennifer Rubin's latest ABC News piece on John McCain.

One note about the article: Toward the end, there is a section where bloggers ostensibly offer advice to the McCain campaign. According to the article, my advice is "to pick up the phone — or have a happy hour& that goes a lot further than getting random emails. (Matt Lewis)."

Aside from the weird grammar/spelling, this is the one part of the story that was taken out of context. Picking up the phone and meeting folks face-to-face was meant to be general advice to campaigns. It was not specific advice to the McCain team.

In fact, the McCain campaign is very good at this.
