Just. My. Luck.

This is the one and only time I've gone to a conservative policy conference and found that the hotel I'm in is also occupied by several teams' worth of professional male soccer players. They're in town for a training camp this week.

And, I'm leaving today. Sigh.

For all you guys out there, this is the equivalent of finding out that you're booked in the same hotel as several squads of NFL cheerleaders or the Hooters Airlines flight attendant conference and being forced to leave. It is a sad prospect, indeed.

I'm leaving the Eye Candy Inn for the Toxic Chlorine Cloud. Awesome.

I can console myself, however, with the fact that I'm headed to the Carolina FreedomNet blog conference in my home state. I'll be hanging out with Scott Johnson, Lorie Byrd, Sister Toldjah, Bob Owens and, of course, my dad. So, my favorite bloggers will undoubtedly make the transition easier.

But it is not without pain, I assure you.

Come and join us on Saturday if you can. I was kidding about the chlorine cloud. It's a good 35 miles away, and the rain is helping, anyway. I'd love to see y'all there.
