'Completely Appalling': Joe Biden Suggests Only Democrats Are Suffering From Coronavirus

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden falsely suggested Democrats are the only ones affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Look, the people who are getting hurt are Democrats,” Biden said. “Hard-working people. The people who can’t afford to stay home. The people who are getting clobbered. The people who are making an hourly wage. The people who are out there saving our lives, caring the country on their back and losing lives in the process of doing it.

“They’re the people who are in trouble, a lot of millionaires aren’t in trouble, people making tens of millions of dollars or hundreds of thousands of dollars, they’re not in trouble,” he continued. “But the people who are trouble are the very people that are our constituency.”

The Wuhan coronavirus has killed more than 82,000 people in the U.S.—Democrats and Republicans alike and has caused economic hardship for Americans of all stripes.

If Biden is looking to criticize, he should have a word with Democratic politicians in New York, whose disastrous policies early on led to the state becoming a major hotbed and “seeding” most other outbreaks across the country, according to a New York Times report

“We now have enough data to feel pretty confident that New York was the primary gateway for the rest of the country,” Nathan Grubaugh, an epidemiologist at the Yale School of Public Health, told The New York Times.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is also under fire over his disastrous nursing home policies, which played a role in the deaths of more than 5,300 New York nursing home residents.
