Sanders Blasted as 'Racist' for Vowing to Help Minorities Start Businesses Selling Legal Marijuana

Democratic frontrunner Sen. Bernie Sanders said during Tuesday's debate that as president he would help minority communities start businesses to sell marijuana.

“I do believe that, on day one, we will change the Federal Controlled Substance Act, which, if you can believe it, now equates heroin with marijuana,” he said. "That's insane."

The socialist candidate promised he would legalize marijuana in all 50 states and work to expunge the records of people who were arrested for marijuana possession.

“And I'll tell you what else we're going to do,” he continued. “We're going to provide help to the African-American, Latino, Native American community to start businesses to sell legal marijuana, rather than let a few corporations control the legalized marijuana market.”

Sanders was widely criticized for the remark on Twitter.

Biden's face during his response was priceless.
