MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough slammed senior White House counselor Kellyanne Conway Monday over comments she made Sunday in defending the Trump administration.
“Kellyanne Conway, again, doing the inexplicable, saying the inexplicable, saying things… that make my teeth hurt,” the “Morning Joe” co-host said. “She is so stupid that they make my teeth hurt.”
Perhaps realizing what he just said, Scarborough added, “Not her, but the words that come out of her mouth when she’s spinning.”
Scarborough made the comments after Conway brought up the fact that special counsel Robert Mueller and many on his legal team donated to Hillary Clinton and other Democrats.
The co-host said her comments didn’t make sense because President Trump and former communications director Anthony Scaramucci have donated much more generously to Democrats in the past.

Take all of Bob Mueller’s entire team, and they haven’t given as much money to Democrats as Donald Trump and his former communications director Anthony Scaramucci, who he hired while making the complaints. They’ve supported Obama. They’ve supported Clinton. They’ve supported Schumer. They’ve supported the DNC, paid hundreds of thousands of dollars. Bob Mueller hasn’t paid that much. So that makes no sense.
As Legal Insurrection points out, the difference is that Mueller and his team are not being investigated by Trump: “That team has an obligation, as prosecutors, to avoid both actual and perceived conflicts and bias.”
This is hardly the first time the co-hosts have slammed Conway. Back in February Mika Brzezinski even announced she banned Conway from the show because she doesn’t “believe in fake news or information that is not true.”
“Every time I've ever seen her on television, something’s askew, off or incorrect,” the co-host added.
