ICYMI: Gary Johnson Apparently Doesn't Read the News

Libertarian nominee has struggled in interviews lately. First he had no idea what Aleppo was, then he couldn’t name a single foreign leader. Now it seems he doesn’t read the news much, either.

In an interview on CNN Sunday, host Fredricka Whitfield asked Johnson his thoughts about The New York Times’ piece on Donald Trump’s 1995 tax returns. He responded by discussing his own tax policy, however. Whitfield circled back to her initial question, asking if the Libertarian nominee had read the article.

“Did you read the article? Do you have an understanding of it fully… like… the rest of us?

“No. No, I did not read the article in The New York Times,” Johnson replied. “No, I did not.”
