When President Obama announced his administration’s plan to unilaterally change immigration policy by halting the deportation of younger illegal immigrants, he promised the American people it wasn’t amnesty. The administration claimed that only those who met certain requirements would be granted a stay of deportation. In the beginning of July, The Washington Times reported that eligibility requirements were being overlooked and in some cases, illegal immigrants who were “apparently eligible” were being actively sought out.
