Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus gaveled the afternoon session in at 2:00 pm and the day's activities began.

And at that time, over $2.5 billion had been added to the national debt since the convention began on Monday afternoon.

The state delegations all showed remarkable spirit, with most showing up in attire that represented their state. For example, the Texas delegation showed up in shirts that I'm hoping are for sale, because they are amazing:

We had a cheesehead in the audience:

The Michigan delegation came with Gerald Ford jerseys from his days at the University of Michigan.

And we had some Kansans showing pride in their college teams - the Kansas University and Wichita State, respectively.

And, last, we have Samantha Bee, a Daily Show correspondent, surely asking mocking questions of a convention-goer.
