Lindsey Graham: China is a Pandemic Incubator and They Should Pay a Price For Their Deception

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham is slamming China and the World Health Organization for unleashing the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic on the world through lies, deception and misinformation. He's also vowing to cut off their funding.

"In the next appropriations bill there's not going to be any money for the WHO," Graham said during an interview with Fox News. "I'm in charge of the appropriations subcommittee. I'm not going to funding the WHO under its current leadership. They've been deceptive, they've been slow and they've been Chinese apologists. I don't think they're a good investment under the current leadership for the United States and until they change their behavior and get new leadership, I think it's in America's best interest to withhold funding because they have failed miserably when it comes to the coronavirus and did the same thing in 2015."

"China is a pandemic incubator," Graham continued. "Without China there would be no coronavirus pandemic and the WHO was slow to react and actually shielded China from legitimate cricitism. No more money to the WHO until they get new people in charge who understand they are there to help the world fight disease, not apologize for China."

He's also arguing the United States must take extreme economic measures to bring American manufacturing out of China for good. This is especially crucial for companies who make personal protective equipment for frontline medical workers and life saving medicine for the general population.

"We're going to bring the medical supply chain back from China into the United States. We're in a terrible spot having to depend on China to make our antibiotics. The personal protective equipment, that supply chain needs to come back into the United States or at least to people that are more reliable," Graham said. "The Chinese Communist government has withheld vital information about the coronavirus pandemic, they silenced people who were trying to warn the world about what happened so our trading relationship needs to change."

"The world should send a bill to China. Without Chinese misconduct here there would be no pandemic and they need to pay a price," he continued.

During the daily Wuhan coronavirus taskforce briefing at the White House Monday, President Trump also went after the WHO.

"The WHO, that's the World Health Organization, receives vast amounts of money from the United States and we pay for a majority, the biggest portion of their money, and they actually criticized and disagreed with my travel ban at the time I did it and they were wrong. They've been wrong about a lot of things. They had a lot of information early and they didn't want to...they seem to be very China centric so we're going to look into it. We pay for the majority of the money that we get," Trump said.
