Well America, after 24 "somber" and "sad" hours and weeks of rushing to pass two articles of impeachment against President Trump, House Democrats just left town. They did so before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi transmitted the articles to the Senate for a trial.

What the hell happened to this being a "serious" and "necessary" endeavor to "protect our democracy" from a president who poses a national security threat? What happened to the urgent need to "stop Trump" before he strikes again? Democrats have completely exposed themselves, again.

Pelosi's late night stunt Wednesday to withhold the articles from the Senate is turning into reality. That's precisely what she'll be doing until at least January 7, knowing the Senate planned to get a trial underway by January 6.

Oh, and a reminder of the night before impeachment. Super. Somber.
