In an effort to get a successful vote on healthcare in the coming weeks, President Trump has invited a number of Republican Senators to the White House for a meeting Monday evening. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer announced the news during the daily briefing. The list of Senators who will attend was not immediately provided, but is expected sometime this afternoon.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell delayed a vote on The Better Care Act this week after Senator John McCain, a much needed vote, underwent surgery. A CBO score on the bill has also been delayed. McConnell can only afford to lose two Republican votes on the bill in order for it to pass, a task proving very challenging as moderates and conservatives continue to express concerns with the legislation.
After arriving for a short official visit to Paris on Friday, the President assured that the White House is deeply involved in the healthcare process. He also urged Senators not to leave town for the August recess, which has been delayed by two weeks, until a bill is finished and passed.

Despite current opposition, the White House remains confident a bill will arrive on President Trump's desk after approval in the Senate.
“We have every confidence in the Majority Leader’s ability to get this done,” Spicer said Monday. “We feel very confident about where we are now and we look forward to getting that bill on the President’s desk and getting it signed.”
