BREAKING: Paul Ryan Calls For Eric Holder's Resignation Over Fast and Furious

Vice Presidential Candidate and Representative Paul Ryan has officially called for the resignation of Attorney General Eric Holder over Operation Fast and Furious. From the DC:

“The congressman agrees with the governor,” Ryan spokesman Brendan Buck told TheDC on Sunday, referring to Mitt Romney’s call for Holder’s resignation or termination over the gunwalking scandal last December.

“Either Mr. Holder himself should resign, or the president should ask for his resignation or remove him,” Romney said in December 2011. “It’s unacceptable for him to continue in that position now given the fact that he has misled Congress and entirely botched the investigation of the Fast and Furious program.”

Ryan's call for Holder to resign comes just three days before the first presidential debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama in Denver, Colorado. President Obama has repeatedly said he has "full faith and confidence" in Eric Holder as his attorney general. Obama also believes Holder has done an excellent job handling the Fast and Furious scandal even after Holder became the first sitting cabinet member in U.S. history to be held in both civil and criminal contempt of Congress back in June.

The House Oversight Committee is moving forward with a lawsuit against Holder to obtain 74,000 subpoenaed documents the Department of Justice has refused to hand over. The Committee is also pursuing it's request for a judge to determine whether President Obama assertion of executive privilege over Fast and Furious documents in June is valid or an abuse of power.
