Obama: Remember the Road We've Traveled

The Obama campaign is out with a new short film directed by Academy Award winning director Davis Gussenheim and narrated by Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks (quite the choice of 1 percenters Barack!) The full length film will be 17 minutes long and released next week, but here is a taste.

“Do we look at the day’s headlines or do we remember what we as a country have been through,” Hanks says.

First of all, if you looked at the headlines of the mainstream media, you would think $4-a-gallon gasoline was normal and that the economy was actually turning around despite 8 percent unemployment and a record number of Americans on food stamps. Not to mention you don’t see the headlines about child poverty skyrocketing under Obama in addition to youth unemployment. When was the last time you saw the front page headline of the Washington Post, “On Our Way to $16,000,000,000,000?”

The opening scene shows former Obama economic advisor Austan Goolsbee discussing when the original Obama economic team arrived in Washington at the beginiing of Obama's first term. What the short version of the film fails to mention is, every member of that team as a “former” attached to their name. They all quit.

The next scene shows Obama saying we can no longer put off “unpleasant” decisions, but during his first term, Obama has done zero to address out of control entitlement spending and our massive government debt.

In Rahm Emanuel’s appearance, he talks about what needs were to come first, but according to President Obama, in multiple speeches, he made nearly ever topic a “top priority.

Not to mention, during a time of economic disaster, what did the Obama Administration focus on? The government takeover of healthcare, a move that killed jobs. Notice how Rahm Emanuel is also a “former.”

Joe Biden explains the Osama bin Laden decision. Remember, Biden advised against the Bin Laden raid and President Obama waited 16 hours before finally approving the operation after 10 years of searching  and war for the man responsible for 9/11.

"Mr. President, my suggestion is, don't go," Biden quoted himself as saying.

Barack Obama kept military commanders hanging by declaring he would 'sleep on it' before taking 16 hours to give the go-ahead to raid Bin Laden's compound

Americans remember the road we've traveled Mr. President. They're ready to turn around and go down a different road, without you "driving the car."
