President Obama is currently meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office about the growing threat of a nuclear Iran. Before the meeting began, Obama and Netanyahu made a press appearance together to give a preview of what the two men will discuss. Last time Netanyahu was in Washington D.C., things were anything but comfortable. Today, tensions are also high despite Obama pledging America's support to Israel and claiming the bond between the two countries is "unbreakable."
"Our commitment to the security of Israel is rock solid," Obama said, adding conversation will revolve around efforts to increase peace and security in the region not only with Iran, but also with the Palestinians. "We do not want to see a nuclear arms race in the most volatile region in the world."
In terms of war with Iran, yesterday President Obama said there was "too much" talk of war when it comes to the radical nation. Prime Minister Netanyahu made it clear where Israel stands on the issue.
"Israel has the right to make its own decisions," Netanyahu said. "Israel must have the ability always, to defend itself, by itself, against any threat."
Netanyahu also reminded Obama that when Americans look around the Middle East they see only one reliable, stable ally of the United States, Israel.
"For them [Iran], you are the great Satan, we are the little Satan," Netanyahu said. "The alliance between our two countries is deeply appreciated."

Despite the continuing defiance of the Iranian government against sanctions, Obama said he and Natanyahu would prefer to solve the Iranian nuclear crisis diplomatically. The question now is whether diplomacy is still possible. Obama seems to think yes, while Israel is gearing up for a military attack as the window of opportunity starts to close.
