The president of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, former congresswoman, and Air Force Academy graduate Heather Wilson has been nominated by President Donald Trump to become the next Secretary of the Air Force.

"Heather Wilson is going to make an outstanding secretary of the Air Force,” Trump said in the statement.
Wilson served the 1st Congressional District of New Mexico from 1998 to 2009.
