Sanders' Former Spokeswoman: "We Don't Need White People Leading the DNC"

The Democratic Party is going through a major transition after the failures in the 2016 election cycle, and inclusion and fairness is being thrown out the window in an attempt to fix the chaos and infighting.

Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign's spokeswoman is taking a strong stance regarding the future of the Democratic party.

"In my opinion, we don't need white people leading the Democratic Party right now," Symone Sanders told CNN.

"The Democratic Party is diverse, and it should be reflected as so in our leadership and throughout the staff at the highest levels from the vice chairs to the secretaries all the way down to the people working in the offices at the DNC," Sanders added.

Democrats are currently working to restructure leadership roles while House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi came under fire after the catastrophic election.  Former Gov. Howard Dean, a Caucasian man, is set to run for DNC Chairman.

Sanders said Dean “is not what we need right now.”
