Time to Wake Up: Russia Bombed US Base in Syria

Russian bombers conducted an attack on a U.S. military base used by elite American and British forces on June 16th, according to numerous reports.

Immediately after the strike, U.S. leaders in Qatar called Russia's headquarters in Latakia, Syria to tell them that they should not attack the base.  Ninety minutes later, Russia dropped another cluster bomb on the base and the pilots of the aircraft did not respond to any U.S. stress calls.

The response from the White House and State Department, despite the possibility of U.S. casualties, was that of compromise.

Defense officials from the Pentagon and CIA claim that Washington succumbed to Russia's pressure instead of confronting the aggression.
