First Lady Melania Trump was booed when she was introduced and while she spoke at a youth summit about the dangers of drugs and opioids in Baltimore County on Tuesday.
Trump was one of many guests that spoke at the Baltimore Youth Summit on Opioid Awareness at University of Maryland Baltimore County, according to WJZ.
The booing lasted for about one minute when she was introduced and some heckling continued while she spoke. Her speech lasted only about five minutes and continued with her remarks despite the boos.
“Thank you to all of the students who are here. I am so proud of you for the bravery it takes to share that you have been strongly affected by the opioid epidemic in some way,” Trump said.
There were some cheers from the crowd in support of Trump.

There were a few protesters who were against Trump outside of the venue.

President Trump, first lady Melania Trump, and some Republican members of Congress were loudly booed by those attending Game 5 of the World Series when the Washington Nationals were at a home game. In addition to boos, others chanted "Lock him up!" when the stadium put the group up on the jumbotron.
