Here Are All the Veterans Elected to Congress in the Midterms

With the 116th Congress set to come to Washington D.C. next year, 77 veterans will be with them to take their place in the legislative branch.

According to theMilitary Times, there was a total of 173 veterans who made it past the primaries and appeared on ballots across the country in this year’s midterms.

There’s even a mix of Congressmen and Senators who are still serving in the reserves. The Hill further reportedwith four female veterans winning in the midterms, it will bring the total number of female veterans to six, a record number.

The total number is subject to change since some of the races are still too close to call.

Here are the veterans who ran as Republicans and were re-elected or elected for the first time and which branch they had served in:
