Apolitical Muslim Group Launches Video To Combat Anti-Muslim Sentiment

The group that produced the video, "My Faith, My Voice," was led by David Hawa, a 37-year-old Muslim who was born in Washington and raised in Virginia, and claims no political affiliation. He and his associates produced the video to address the controversy surrounding the proposed New York City mosque near Ground Zero. From the video:

They say you should fear me, suspect me, hate me. But the truth is, I don't want to impose my faith on you. I don't want to take over this country. And I don't support terrorism in any form.

I'd point out that creating this video in direct response to anti-mosque outrage implies that opposing the mosque means that one is anti-Muslim. But it's still a good faith effort to reinforce a moderate message that we don't hear enough from the Muslim community.
