90% Of Young Philadelphians Ineligible For Military Service

The Defense Department estimates that 75 percent of young adults cannot serve in the military due to criminal records, obesity, or lack of education. In Philadelphia, it's worse. At least ninety percent of 18-to-24-year-olds can't serve because of those factors,

according to a nonprofit investigation. That's 145,000 young adults.

Either our military's standards are too high, or Philadelphia has really gone to pot.
