Wacky S.C. Governor's Race
GOP primary candidate Nikki Haley certainly has some steam, but don't ignore former Rep. Gresham Barret. He's coming up second against Haley, trailed by Henry McMaster, SC's Attorney General. Haley has the "wow," factor, but it seems that Barret has some staying power, and if Haley doesn't get 50% of a vote the race goes into a runoff. That means we're looking at a possible Haley-Barret matchupin South Cackalacky and all of the stilleto-empowering, good 'ole boy grandeur which that entails. You know, like the guys accusing Haley of having an affair taking a polygraph test at the local cable affiliate.
