Waxman Faints As Climate Change & Health Care Bills Become a Reality

Democratic Rep. Henry Waxman fainted in his district office in California yesterday. As chairman of the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee, Waxman had recently finished up work on mind-blowing climate change legislation and was gearing up for almost-as-disastrous health care reform when Congress returns from its July 4 recess on Monday.

I would like to offer my congratulations to the Congressman. Once anyone really thinks about the kind of harm these bills could inflict on the average American citizen, fainting is a pretty darn good reaction. In fact, I think it indicates a level of robustness and health previously unseen in House Energy and Commerce Committee chairs.

Undoubtedly, Waxman has realized this himself, and a radical change in policy is forthcoming.

.....on a more serious note, I do, of course, hope that the Congressmen makes a full and speedy recovery.
