Michelle O: "B--b--but...I actually want to do something!!!!"

The First Lady fired her old Chief of Staff, and hired a new one, 61-year-old Susan Sher, a close friend and more of a "peer" than the former 37-year-old Jackie Norris. Sher's new directive? To give Michelle more substance. From communications chief Camille Johnston:

Her desire is to step out more and have deliverables.
Michelle also hired a new speech writer, and directed her staff to "think strategically." The goal, it seems is to get on it. Apparently she's tired of her arms getting more attention than her action plans. My advice? Loose the gardening schtick, and stop hosting read-alongs. If you really want to be taken seriously, follow the Hillary Clinton model and start formulating policy. You'll probably fail, but at least you'll have done more than sit pretty.
