Evan McMullin Leading in Utah

Evan McMullin is still surging in Utah. The independent candidate is now leading Trump and Clinton in a new Emerson College poll.

McMullin, a conservative running as an alternative to Donald Trump, is leading in Utah with 31 percent, Trump has 27 percent, and Clinton is polling at 24 percent.

He has earned lots of attention since polling strong in the Beehive State last week. The Brigham Young graduate (and Mormon) has strong appeal with conservatives in the state.

Despite being a Republican stronghold, Trump has struggled with the voter base in Utah. During the Republican primary, Ted Cruz won there in landslide.
