Remember when President Obama said, "We will go through the budget...eliminating programs we don't need"? That promise hasn't come to fruition. Instead, we just have more spending.

The Cato Institute directs readers to their website, downsizinggovernment.org, which details ways to cut the budget, department by department. A few examples are cutting federal worker pay to save $20 billion annually and ending farm subsidies to save $25 billion annually. It is definitely worth a look.
