WATCH: Liberal Studio Audience Laughs Uncomfortably as Daily Show Exposes Warren's Racial Hoax

Amid Elizabeth Warren's fake umbrage over Donald Trump needling her as "Pocahontas" (yes, the latest example was gratuitous and came in an inappropriate setting), new attention is being focused on the racial hoax she perpetrated for her own professional gain.  That scrutiny, unsurprisingly, is not flattering for Warren, who cynically and baselessly claimed Native American heritage in order to parlay her career as a law professor into the Ivy League.  She carried on the mythical charade until she secured tenure at Harvard.  Well, a whole new audience was introduced to Warren's preposterous fraud this week when The Daily Show devoted some time to highlighting her feud with Trump.  It didn't go well for her.  The piece starts with some requisite Trump mockery, and a clip of Warren blasting Trump and vowing that she refuses to be silenced.  Host Trevor Noah's liberal studio audience applauds her indignation. That's our gal! But then Noah examines why Trump ridicules Warren with that particular nickname, and things get awkward:

I'm a big fan of the "Pow Wow Chow" reference, which is an enormously funny story we detailed in End of Discussion, exposing how the Left gives Warren a pass for doing the exact opposite of "checking her privilege."  Noah goes a little easy on Warren by suggesting that there's no direct proof that she used her invented ethnicity to advance her career, but the circumstantial evidence is extremely powerful, especially the bit where she stopped "checking the box" upon reaching the pinnacle of her professional track.  Noah does allow that Warren's actions were "problematic" and that Trump is justified in highlighting what she did.  This elicits groans and silence from the disappointed crowd.  Noah concludes, "the truth isn't always something we want to hear."  Speaking of uncomfortable truths, Matt highlighted a column at Think Progress (!) from an actual Cherokee woman absolutely hammering Warren for fraudulently appropriating and capitalizing on a heritage that wasn't rightfully hers:

She was not a hero to me when she failed to foster a haven of support for Native students within Harvard University’s alienating Ivy League culture. She is not a hero for spending years awkwardly avoiding Native leaders. She is not a hero because, despite claiming to be the only Native woman in the U.S. Senate, she has done nothing to advance our rights. She is not from us. She does not represent us. She is not Cherokee...In defending her supposed Native identity, Warren has drawn from both racist stereotypes and easily refutable stories about her family. At a 2012 press conference Warren stated that her family knew her grandfather was “part” Cherokee because “he had high cheekbones like all of the Indians.” Cherokee genealogists have pored through her family history to find that “None of her direct line ancestors are ever shown to be anything other than white, dating back to long before the Trail of Tears.” To add insult to injury, despite Warren’s public claims of Native American heritage, she has decidedly avoided talking with Native leaders and, in 2012, refused to meet with a group of Cherokee women at the Democratic National Convention.

I'll leave you with the latest way Warren is profiting off of her disgraceful ethnic hoax:

Say, isn't she a big fan of the CFPB, the job of which is to punish people who cash in on frauds?
