MR. GREGORY:  A couple of minutes left.  I do want to ask you about politics and the re-election campaign for 2012.  You'll be chief of staff presiding over that campaign.  Is the president moving to the center to win re-election?

MR. DALEY:  No, the president doesn't look at--this is a guy who does not look at politics in left, center, whatever.  He really doesn't.  I--he looks at things, deals with the problem right in front of him.  And I've never participated in, even back when I was co-chair of his campaign in Illinois, discussions that were around that.

Yep, the president's no ideologue; just a pragmatic, bold leader.
