Aw: MSNBC to Reinstate Olbermann Tomorrow

Well that didn't last long, did it?

MSNBC brass announced its "indefinite," unpaid suspension of Keith Olbermann on Friday, touching off a round of speculation over the weekend that Olby

might not return to the network at all.  It appears those rumors were as overwrought and hysterical as the show whose host will triumphantly return tomorrow:

STATEMENT REGARDING KEITH OLBERMANN - SUNDAY, NOV. 7

From Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC:

After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.

Keith, I beg you:  Please offer an epic "special comment" on this mess.

As I wrote on Friday, the original suspension was pointless and stupid.  Keith Olbermann is an execrable commentator whose partisan virulence is matched only by another MSNBC dope -- and anyone who's remotely familiar with him is entirely aware of his political bent.  He, like Sean Hannity, should be able to financially support candidates with whom they agree, within the law.

MSNBC is making the right call by restoring Olby, although their ratings will suffer.
