Olympic Marathon Runner: My Coach Is God

If you don't know who Ryan Hall is, you will now. This kid from Redding, California is the Tim Tebow of running. Numerous athletic shoe stores in California that I have walked into display a poster of Hall with his autograph in addition to one of his favorite verses from Scripture.

The New York Times just did a feature on him, and now CNN. Hall will be running in the marathon at the London Olympics and it will be fun to watch considering "God" is his coach. He calls this "faith-based coaching." Here are a couple of Hall's choice statements from this interview:

  • "Jesus is the greatest prize I can have."
  • "I'm just trying to be obedient and follow Him."
