Rush: "It's not what Obama knows. It's what you think he knows. It's what he makes you think he knows. He doesn't know anything about the automobile business. He doesn't know how to change a tire."
Rush is sounding the horn on President Obama: "He really believes it his job to return the nation's wealth to its rightful--quote unquote, rightful owners."
Here's My Take: As we have seen with the car and bank industry--not to mention AIG, the increasing instability of our economy has summoned President Obama to take over many spheres of activity once left to choice or chance. As a result, natural law is becoming an old concept--probably not progressive enough.
Obama’s idea of government exists not to protect our rights but to do us good or make us good. There is becoming less which we can say, “Mind your own business.” If we are to be mothered, mother must know best, right?
The question of “progress” has become the question whether we can discover any way of submitting to the mothering/paternalistic role of Obama's state without losing liberty and independence. Is there any possibility of getting Obama’s welfare state honey without avoiding the sting? One thing is for sure, there will be more honey and more stings.
