Zogby 2012 Presidential Election: 52 Percent Say 'Time for Someone New'

The Washington Times' Kerry Picket has the latest numbers from Zogby on the GOP 2012 field. Herman Cain now leads the GOP primary field as the candidate Republican primary voters would most like to see win the nomination. His 19 percent put him ahead of second place finisher New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (who has said he's not running), with 16 percent, and Mitt Romney with 11 percent.

Out of a field of 13 potential GOP candidates, however, nobody beats Barack Obama, although only 42 percent of voters say Obama deserves re-election. 52 percent say it's time for someone new. That includes 56 percent of independent voters.

Newt Gingrich got the highest number of people saying they would never vote for him in a GOP field -- 17 percent.
