Behind-The-Scenes With Rick Perry

Governor Rick Perry of Texas – who is the longest sitting governor with the best job creation record in the union – sat down with CBN to discuss the policies that have made his state the envy of the nation. In the last two years, Texas has created nearly half the jobs in America through low taxes and fair regulations. During a time when most states are struggling desperately to balance their budgets, Texas has ushered in a decade of growth and prosperity.

Long suspected to be a presidential contender by the end of the month, Rick Perry would be an instant game-changer. His executive experience, social conservatism, and strong economic record will attract voters from all wings of the Republican Party if he chooses to run.

Perry, who also unequivocally supports a federal amendment to ban abortion, would perform well in early voting primary states such as South Carolina and is a favorite amongst pro-life Republicans.

But the question remains: Will he run?

"I have no idea what God's plans are for me," he says. "But I want to try and be as faithful to Him as I can be."

In the meantime, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
