El Paso County Democratic Party Chairwoman Iliana Holguin penned an open letter to President Trump telling him to reconsider his visit tomorrow. They don't want him.

At a Monday presser, El Paso Mayor Dee Margo announced that he will welcome Trump to the city on Wednesday in his official capacity. Holguin is not thrilled, but it would be "wonderful" if the president showed up and apologized for his language and for all the pain he's caused Hispanic communities, she offered on CNN Tuesday morning.

The problem is, she continued, is that, "I don't think he's capable of doing that."

We know that he "doesn’t care" about communities like ours, Holguin explained. El Paso "has been ground zero for all the cruel immigration polices he wants to enact." El Paso, more than anyone, "has seen the cruelty" of this White House's immigration policies.

As for the gunman who killed 22 people in El Paso, his hate-filled manifesto about a "Hispanic invasion of Texas" was eerily similar to Trump's rhetoric, she said.

"Anyone can connect the dots and those dots lead right to President Trump," according to Holguin.

If anything, his visit "is going to hurt our community even more," she predicted.

Still, Cuomo said he hopes when Trump shows up, "he’s at his best."

"I hope so too," said Holguin.

The president also plans to visit Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday, where nine more people were killed by a mass shooter.
