WV Senate: Joe Manchin Keeps His Seat

Sen. Joe Manchin (D) defeated his Republican opponent, Attorney General Patrick Morrisey Tuesday night in West Virginia.

The race got pretty nasty in the final leg. At last week’s debate, Morrisey accused Manchin of flip flopping on every issue. Manchin in turn told a crowd that he showed a lot of discipline by not “beating the crap” out of Morrisey.

Manchin is known as one of the more moderate Democrats in Congress. For instance, he voted for both of President Trump's Supreme Court nominees, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
