Cuomo's GOP Challenger Tells Him to Pick Fights With Him, Not His Wife

New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Marc Molinaro let Gov. Andrew Cuomo know this week that his pregnant wife is off limits when it comes to political attacks. In a recent ad, the Cuomo campaign hit Molinaro for accepting more than $5,000 tied to Tinkelman Brothers Development Corporation, a construction company that hired Molinaro’s wife, Corinne Adams, and was awarded county contracts and hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax breaks, the New York Daily News reports.

"Return the dirty money and come clean,” the ad says. “What are you really hiding?

It was the mention of Molinaro's wife that really set the Republican off. He responded in a tense video warning to the governor.

“He is a classless buffoon who chooses to attack a woman who is six months pregnant and no longer works at the company he is referring to,” Molinaro said. “I really suggest to Andrew that he stick with me, because my wife is way out of his league.”
