Dem Senator's Security Tosses Out America Rising PAC Reporter

Sen. Debbie Stabenow's (R-MI) security had an America Rising PAC tracker thrown out of her public press conference at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan this week. Brad Minor, who covers events for America Rising, had intended to report on Stabenow's talk for his conservative organization. Yet, he didn't even get in the door.

It was a real "profile in courage," according to America Rising Executive Director Alex Smith, sharing Minor's audio of the exchange.

"I'm just here for the press conference," Minor said outside the venue.

"No, you're not," someone said, before Minor heard he was "gonna get arrested."

One officer placed handcuffs on the reporter before a supervisor intervened to escort him outside, according to America Rising.

Again, it was advertised as a public event.
