UPDATE: The man who shot himself outside the White House has died, Fox News has learned.
The Secret Service announced that "a white male who suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head along the north White House fence line" has died.
The White House is on lockdown after shots were fired along the north fence line. The Secret Service has responded.

Medical personnel are now attending to the victim and there are no other reported injuries related to the incident, the Secret Service said.
President Trump was not at the White House at the time - he is currently in West Palm Beach.
