On Friday, Lynch admitted that her private discussion with Bill Clinton did not exactly provide good optics for the investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state, as the attorney general is expected to remain neutral. As a result of her poor decision, Lynch agreed to step back and let the investigators determine whether or not to pursue indictment against Clinton, with Lynch noting she would accept their decision.
The rumored meeting between Clinton and the FBI could suggest the agency is nearing the end investigation, The Hill surmises.
