Appearing on Fox News, Donald Trump Jr. said that he did not tell his father that he had a meeting with a Russian lawyer to scope out potential information about Hillary Clinton. Further, he also said that in hindsight, he "would have done things differently" with the lawyer.

Trump Jr. said that the meeting took place before the "Russia mania" started, and that he only considered the meeting with the Russian lawyer to be "opposition research." He said that the meeting went "nowhere," hence why he did not tell his father.
