Former FBI Director James Comey will testify for the Senate Intelligence Committee on June 8, per the Associated Press. Comey was invited to testify for the committee about two weeks ago. The hearing topic concerns Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 election.

Comey will testify at 10 a.m. in an open session, followed by a closed session at 1 p.m. The Senate Intelligence Committee is chaired by Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) and vice-chaired by Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA).

Comey was fired on May 9. Andrew McCabe has served as acting FBI director.
