I've written before about how we should probably be praying for Sarah Silverman in light of the 2016 election, and now it looks as though we should add CNN's Sally Kohn to our prayer list as well.
In a tweet posted on Wednesday morning, Kohn laid out a "straightforward" path as to how to get a "President Clinton."
Spoiler alert: it is not straightforward.
Straightforward from here:
— Sally Kohn (@sallykohn) February 15, 2017
1. Impeach Trump & Pence
2. Constitutional crisis
3. Call special election
4. Ryan v Clinton
5. President Clinton
The internet had quite a bit of fun making their own versions of this "straightforward" plan and mocking Kohn's apparent lack of knowledge of how the Constitution actually works. (There is no need for a special election if both Donald Trump and Mike Pence were impeached as Speaker Paul Ryan would be next in line.)
My plan:
— Charles C. W. Cooke (@charlescwcooke) February 15, 2017
1. Impeach Sally Kohn
2. Invoke 28th Amendment’s disparate impact clause
3. 8th Circuit dissolved
4. Omelette
5. President Clinton
Folks, @sallykohn is wrong: there's no "special election" in the constitution. Paul Ryan would be President.https://t.co/nHhxzLbaqm

Straightforward from here:
— Adam H. Johnson (@adamjohnsonNYC) February 15, 2017
1 Impeach Trump & Pence
2 Constitutional crisis
3 Junta appoints Eric Garland
4 Adderall in every pot

1) Trump's not getting impeached.
2) I washed my hands of this back in March of 2016.
Sally Kohn is the Skip Bayless of politics https://t.co/0qJlZr7djr

1. @sallykohn reads Constitution
2. Commentator crisis of confidence
3. Ignores facts nonetheless

And, of course, she's now claiming it was all sarcasm. Right.
Wow, half the internet doesn't understand sarcasm. It is obviously NOT this straightforward... https://t.co/EAp79CB8Fk
