Hillary Clinton has won the Mississippi Democratic primary over Sen. Bernie Sanders. The election was called shortly after the polls closed at 7 p.m. Central.

Going in to today's election, Clinton was the favorite by an overwhelming margin.
Clinton has now scored wins in 12 states, including the majority of the south. She also has a commanding lead over Sanders in terms of delegates and superdelegates.
