Obama's "Flexibility" on Gay Marriage

Now, Dana Milbank spills the beans about how the same kind of flexibility characterizes President Obama's "evolving" stance on gay marriage:

Whatever Obama’s public position, there was little doubt in the [White House press] briefing room Monday that the president supports gay marriage and that he would go public with this position after Election Day, when he no longer need fear losing independent voters.

In other words -- as with missile defense -- President Obama is just waiting until he is no danger of being held accountable to do as he darn well pleases.

What other post-election policy surprises does the President have up his sleeve?
