Catholic In Name Only

It is absolutely inconceivable -- pun intended -- that Georgetown University has invited Kathleen Sebelius to be its graduation speaker . . . especially this year.

Sebelius, as everyone knows, is the Health and Human Services secretary charged with much of the implementation of pro-abortion ObamaCare, and her department issued the draconian regulations mandating that most religious institutions provide abortifacients and contraceptive coverage in their insurance plans.

Indeed, Sebelius has long been one of the most vehemently pro-abortion people in American public life.  As governor of Kansas, she even vetoed a bill outlawing partial birth abortions.

All this, while at the same time, she identifies her religious affiliation as Catholic.

Georgetown's invitation is not only a slap in the face to the Catholic faithful, it seeks to honor someone whose conduct in public office has consisted of repeated, blatant repudiations of foundational Catholic beliefs.

By extending the invitation to Kathleen Sebelius, Georgetown University has made a mockery of its status as a Catholic university.  In truth, it's revealed itself to be a CINO . . .  Catholic in Name Only.
