Bishop Hermann Spells It Out for Catholics

Via a friend in my home town of St. Louis, here's a timely piece by Bishop Hermann of the St. Louis archdiocese. In the most relevant part, the Bishop points out:

My desire for a good economy cannot justify my voting to remove all current restrictions on abortion. My desire to end the war in Iraq cannot justify my voting to remove all current restrictions on abortion.

He also undertakes the unfashionable but eternally important task of reminding his readers that our choices in this world resonate in the next.
