If anyone ever wondered about the intellectual bankruptcy of much of leftist dialogue, this sort of junk is proof positive. When people can't frame their critiques any other way, they resort to these measures-- and reveal more about themselves than about the person they're trying to humiliate and slime (same goes for Randi Rhodes' remarks about Hillary Clinton).
If a conservative site had done something like this to Gloria Steinem, Naomi Wolf or any other prominent liberal feminist, the feminists would be shrieking in unimaginable outrage over this overt and hostile "objectification" of a woman. Now? I predict silence.
I have not always agreed with Ann Coulter (see here and here, for example), but she has the right to voice opinions -- yes, even those I disagree with or that the left disagrees with! -- without being subjected to the kind of treatment she's receiving today at the HuffPo. Same would go in the (unlikely) event that such drawings of someone like Randi Rhodes were posted.

In an earlier day, the people who had engaged in such blatantly ugly -- and yes, sexist -- behavior would be held in contempt by decent people across the political spectrum. Now, sadly, I'm not so sure that will be the case.
Let's hope the lefties and the feminists prove me wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.
