Hearing It, or Hearing About It?

As noted in this piece in the UK Guardian, Barack Obama has regained his lead in national Gallup polls, after having been 7 points behind Hillary Clinton last week.

The piece is titled "Poll boost for Obama after race speech."  Here's what I'd  be interesting in knowing:  If Barack's resurgence in the poll is indeed due to his speech, is that because voters heard the speech for themselves and liked what he said -- or because they heard about the speech from the largely Obama-adoring press?
