Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has a message for the people of China: "Stop eating bats."

The Wuhan coronavirus was born in a wet market in Wuhan, China, where bats, turtles and other wild animals are cooked up for human consumption. These markets are "wet" inasmuch as they are flowing with animal blood and who knows what else. The workers in these markets lack proper hygiene to prevent disease transmission from animals to human beings. Some of the deadliest viruses have emerged from human contact with animals, including Bird Flu, SARS and the latest coronavirus.

China has recently reopened the wet market in Wuhan while the rest of the world continues to be ravaged by the last deadly virus that particular wet market unleashed upon the world.

Sen. Graham says it's time for the Chinese people to stop eating bats.

"We need to stop that," Sen. Graham told Fox News' Martha Maccallum on Friday. "It's the 21st century."

The senator encouraged President Trump to phone President Xi and demand an immediate end to all the bat eating.

"What I would tell President Trump is to call up President Xi and say, 'listen, you just reopened the wet market in Wuhan where we believe all this came from. Crackdown on bringing exotic and other wild animals into these wet markets where they contaminate the food supply and human beings."

"Bats carry this stuff," Graham exclaimed, "and they literally eat bats. Stop eating bats!"
